Dear Parents/Guardians:
We would like to start by saying thank you to our families.  We know this is not what everyone expected and yet we see and appreciate your support on social media, in person and through notes and emails.  We are a team and without our families we would never be able to make this work, so again thank you.

With the announcement that all Minooka 201 students will now be learning remotely, we are organizing student material pick up days. If you had already elected to have your child be a remote learner prior to August 20th you should have already picked up materials from Aux Sable on the designated days and will not be asked to return and pick up additional items. If you elected to have your child learn at school prior to August 20th  please click on the following link for directions on supply pick up.

Remote Material Distribution

By Tuesday of next week, teachers will be sending detailed information regarding your child’s daily learning schedule. It will be a combination of  synchronous and asynchronous opportunities. The synchronous opportunities will occur between 9-2. Students unable to attend live synchronous sessions will be required to view the recorded session. The asynchronous opportunities can be completed based on your families schedule.

Student attendance is expected as they will be required to engage in the day’s activities and assignments.  While some activities offer live interaction (synchronous learning) through Zoom or Google Hangouts, students unable to attend at that time will be given instruction and activities through a non-live option (asynchronous) such as recorded video, presentations, detailed written descriptions, etc.  Students will be assumed present unless they are reported absent to the school by parent or guardian by following the traditional attendance procedure.

For the duration of remote learning, Minooka District 201 grade scales and practices will continue to be used to evaluate mastery.  PE and Fine Arts staff will provide feedback but will not receive a letter grade.FA Teachers will offer parents and students with various FA activities and options that may be completed as supplemental and enrichment. Physical Education teachers will offer parents and students with an asynchronous PE schedule of activities that fulfills the State mandate for Physical Education.
Should you have questions regarding any of the information shared please contact our office.
